Position Summary
Senior Product Development Manager – Citrix CloudPlatform  (Location: Hyderabad)
Citrix CloudPlatform, powered by Apache CloudStack, is a industry leading cloud orchestration platform that enables you to quickly and efficiently build a highly scalable and reliable IaaS cloud environments. It is the platform behind some of the worlds leading Enterprise and Service Providers cloud deployments. 
This is an opportunity to join and lead a team of highly talented engineers to innovate, create and evolve the cloud computing software stack. This is a highly visible role with the opportunity to make an impact across the product and the business unit.
 
Responsibilities include:
Provide leadership and technical mentorship to a team of highly talented engineers.
Hire, nurture and groom talent. Manage a top-notch development team. Active coaching and performance management of the team.
Hands-on involvement in all aspects of Engineering: planning, design, development, quality, and process improvements.
Maintain highest standards and be a champion for good engineering practices. Ship high quality product releases.
Cross-functional and cross-geo collaboration with Product management, Support, Sales, and partner Engineering teams.
Participate in bug triaging, release planning, release management.
Be a thought leader and represent the team in company-wide initiatives. Contribute to roadmap discussions.
Help customers architect and successfully deploy CloudPlatform-based cloud infrastructure.
Participate in the open source community.
 
Qualifications and Requirements
Required Qualifications:
Expert knowledge and experience with Java or C/C++
Demonstrated ability to build secure, scalable and reliable production-grade software and large-scale systems.
Prior exposure to virtualization technologies and hypervisors (Xen, KVM, VMWare, Hyper-V) is a plus.
Knowledge and experience with web, distributed, and networked applications (TCP, HTTP, XML)
Experience with Linux, MySQL and open source technologies is highly desirable.
Excellent programming and problem solving skills
Exposure to open source community or contributions to open source software is a plus.
Ability to lead and multi-task between multiple projects and initiatives.
A Self-starter with excellent communication and negotiations skills.
Ability to work with customers, partners, and peer development teams.
BTech/BS Computer Science or equivalent with strong CS fundamentals
14+ years of product development experience. Atleast 3+ years leading and managing development teams.
