We drive performance and reliability across hundreds of endpoints and multiple platforms, optimize incident management through innovative tools and processes to minimize mitigation times for live site incidents, and drive an effective feedback loop to learn from incidents.
Roles and Responsibilities:
You will lead a team that will work closely with internal partners, program managers, developers, testers, and other service and systems engineers, during all phases of the services lifecycle from design to retirement. This position requires strong team management and people leadership skills, strong verbal and written communication skills to a technical audience, organizational agility, rapid problem solving and composure in critical situations.
You will lead your team to develop a deep knowledge of the technical architecture and processes used in the Applications and Media Publishing organization. It's critical you maintain a proactive attitude towards dealing with service issues and addressing them promptly. Be prepared to take ownership, prioritize work and make tough decisions. Leverage excellent communication skills, both written and oral, to maintain close partnering relationships with technical, product and business groups in yourregion and influence partners to make better decisions in the interest of the business. Your team will maintain high availability and performance for all managed products/services as part of a 24x7/global support model. You will need to be committed to fostering continual improvement in the team.Skills and Qualifications:

: Strong knowledge of the delivery pathways that sit between the server and the end user, including: Caching, DNS, Global Load Balancing, Hardware Load Balancing, Network routing, CDN
: Highly proficient with Microsoft service delivery applications, including
: IIS (Experience with 8.0 a plus)
: SQL Server (Experience with 2012 and always:on desirable)
: Windows Server (2008 and newer)
: Windows Azure, including Azure hosted apps, AzureSQL and Storage desirable
: Knowledge of scripting languages and technologies (PowerShell)
