Project Summary and Position Overview: The Sr. Software Engineer designs and develops internet applications for TRTA Certification within the Technology Development Group. This includes technical research, application development, and may require involvement with the design, estimation and quality assurance. Essential responsibilities – · Design and code Department’s development requirements· Create application design specification documents.· Assist, under the direction of the Lead Engineer, in identifying, defining and implementing the strategies and technical architecture to produce high quality applications within budget and schedule. · Responsible to quickly learn and implement using existing and emerging technologies Required Skills –
- 4+ years developing in a Microsoft or web application technology environment utilizing a formalized software development life cycle approach
- 4+ years experience with C# and .NET 4.0 or higher
- 4+ years experience with Internet application development using ASP.NET, HTML, DHTML, JavaScript
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and stored procedures
- Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server
- Experience with ASP.NET Model View Controller (MVC)
- Experience with XML
- Experience with XSLT, XHTML and DTDs
- Experience with making business decisions about technology issues
- Excellent verbal, written, time management and organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task and establish priorities
- Strong estimating and risk assessment skills
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and negotiate with others
- Must be detail oriented, a self-starter, a strong team player
